California Aerospace & Aviation Days at the Capitol is presented to inform legislators, staff, and the public about the importance of aviation to the welfare of the California economy and to raise the level of awarenss of the benefits of aerospace and aviation to all Californians.

  • Aviation is vital to the California economy:  $168.7 billion annually
  • Aviation-related employment:  1.2 million jobs, $46.5 billion payroll
  • General Aviation annual economic impact:  $30.2 billion
  • Aerospace employment:  203,000 plus another 511,000 in related fields
  • Aerospace provides over $2.9 billion in annual state income tax revenues
  • Unmanned aircraft systems will provide more than 12,000 jobs and $2.9 billion in economic impact in the first decade
Airports in California:  22 Military Airfields & 674 State-Permitted Aviation Facilities
including:  363 heliports; 243 public use airports (217 general aviation and 26 commercial passenger service); and 68 special use airports
